Rules & Code of Conduct

MUST READ & FOLLOW TO ATTEND

These rules are the same for all events, unless specified.

By purchasing a ticket and/or room to Naughty Revival, you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by all these Rules & Code of Conduct and you agree to waive/release Naughty Revival and the organizers of the event from any and all responsibility and liability for any injury occurring to, during, or after the event; including any lost or stolen items.

1) About These Rules & Their Enforcement
  • Know how to behave appropriately!
  • You cannot use ignorance of the rules as an excuse to break them.
  • The Security Team, Organizers and Dungeon Monitors (DMs) will enforce these rules and Code of Conduct outlined at their discretion. Intentionally violating any Rule of Code of Conduct may result in dismissal from event with no refund.
  • Ask organizers should any of the rules be unclear. If you feel that you are just embarking on your journey, try to connect with those who appear to be more experienced and are performing the types of scenes that interest you most.
  • Read signs posted and use discretion as to when to approach those involved in a scene/performance. It is a standard practice to wait until a person is back to socializing after their scene/performance and aftercare has ended, before approaching them.
2) Consent
  • We subscribe to an active consent rule where only yes means yes.
  • No means no. Maybe also means no. No response also means no. Be safe, sane, and consensual. Negotiate. Use common sense.
  • A “yes” for one negotiation does not mean “yes” for the entire event, it is a “yes” for that one negotiated activity.
  • Remember to negotiate and be prepared for someone to say no, maybe, or not respond (all are “no”). Just because someone is here for the event does not automatically mean that this person wants to play with, submit to, dominate, or even talk to you.
  • Do not expose non-consenting persons to explicit BDSM or sexual behavior.
  • Touching – No touching of any part of the body of others without their expressed consent. This also includes items that may be attached to someone’s body (such as hair, clothes, collars etc.) or their possessions, including toys or any other objects.
  • Ask permission before handling or using someone else’s toys or equipment.
3) Safe-Word and Safe-Signal
If top and bottom have not negotiated their own, the default safe words are “yellow” (to pause the scene) and “red” (to immediately end the scene). If you are a bottom and find yourself in a predicament where your pre-negotiated safe-word is not being honored, then please use “red” to have your scene terminated by staff on your behalf. Know your safe word.

Using a ball gag limits a partner’s ability to speak, so you’ll want to pick a non-verbal safe signal that the wearer can use to indicate that their partner should stop and remove the ball gag. The action might be a hand signal, a tap on the back, or an audible cue like squeezing a squeaky toy. If the gagged partner is tied up and does not have use of their hands, their safe signal could be to aggressively shake their head “no” while audibly grunting.

4) Food, Alcohol, and Substances
  • No illegal drugs, or poppers, are allowed.
  • Alcohol is available at the hotel bar and the venue bars in the conference area. This is a hotel take-over and you may move freely throughout the hotel with any beverage you purchase at the hotel and/or venue bars. Drink responsibly. Impaired persons will not be allowed into the dungeon space.
  • Alcohol – We strongly suggest dungeon/scenes are done before alcoholic beverages; Drunkenness will not be tolerated. If you arrive intoxicated, you will be asked to leave. DM’s in the dungeon also monitor status to engage safely in the dungeon as well.
  • Drugs and illegal substances are not permitted.
  • Food and beverages are permitted only in designated areas. Look for the signs. Bottled water is permitted anywhere.
  • Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas outside the venue.
5) Pets and Animals

No Pets (No non-human pets allowed).

There are exceptions for those with support non-human pets. And the hotel does allow pets in the rooms. However, any damage is your liability and the animal must be on good behavior and under your control at all times (just as a good human pet should be also). If your non-human pet is disruptive, be prepared for security and management to quickly intervene.

6) Privacy, Phones, and Recording Devices
  • Respect people’s privacy. Outing people is against the rules and is a despicable act.
  • Recording and phone use – Cameras, video recorders, audio recorders, or other recording devices of any kind are not allowed OUT and EXPOSED in any area of the event except private rooms, and a designated onsite accessible room clearly identified as a “phone room”. Keep your phone in your pocket or bag. As a patron of this event, please help us to enforce this rule if you observe it happening outside of the designated areas. We understand there are exceptions for emergencies, medical apps, or other common-sense reasons why you may need to use your phone. In those situations, keep your phone down and do not have it held in a way where the camera(s) are exposed to possibly take photos or video or cause others to think you might be taking photos or video. Bottom line, be respectful of others’ privacy.
  • Cell phones seen out elsewhere subject to confiscation. Please note that appropriate event staff will be permitted to carry and use cell phones for communication during the event. This exception applies to those event staff members only.
  • For vending, phone use is permitted for transactions but please use discretion. Keep phones pointed down to avoid any possible camera use or photos of others and put away your the device after the payment process.
7) Safety
  • Blood/needles – Safe play with blood/needles/etc. is permitted only in designated area.
  • Guns are not permitted to be brought in by attendees.
  • Knives – No unsheathed knives or swords except during a scene and explicitly approved by event organizers.
  • Long whips should only be used in designated areas.
  • Safety around backswing areas – Be mindful of straying into areas where someone is playing with a long toy (whip/flogger etc). These folks cannot see behind them, they are concentrating on a target, not knowing who might have just walked up behind. Watch for posted signs to ‘watch for backswing.’
  • Sanitation – Use wipes to clean equipment after you are done using it. Use chuck pads if the scene involves possibility of bodily fluids. Ask a DM if supplies run low or are needed.
  • Scene interruption – Please do not interrupt or disrupt any scene in which you are not a participant. Even ongoing chatter or loud voices next to a scene can be very disruptive. Please socialize in the social areas outside of the dungeon area.
8) Social Interactions
  • Strictly prohibited – Prostitution, solicitation, agreement, or negotiation for any sexual activities for cash or any other consideration is strictly prohibited. Professional scene people and prostitutes shall not attend any Naughty Revival event as paid escorts.
  • Aftercare area is marked and meant for aftercare only – not for socializing.
  • Body positive – Guests are free from derogatory comments about a person’s body, appearance, nudity, gender presentation and orientation.
  • Harassment – Only interact with people who seem to want to continue interacting with you. The “yes means yes rule” applies to social interactions as well.
  • Dangerous, offensive, threatening, abusive, coercive, illegal, or harassing behavior won’t be tolerated.
